The Baptist Church   This church is a very important presence in the Oradea's religious life. Our city has 4 Romanian Baptist Churches and 2 Hungarian Churches. The numbers of christened (baptized) members is 5000. Oradea is the main gate which was entered by the Baptist Church in Romania. The first Baptist Church was founded in 1875 in Salonta near Oradea, and the first Baptist Church in Oradea was founded in 1912. Like all the others religious community, the Baptist Community had to suffer a lot durin the communism government. After 1989, the Romanian Revolution the church was implicated in the construction of Orphanage of Sanmartin. The Baptist Secondary School and the Bible Baptist Institute was founded in 1990.
